I love the Lush solid moisturizer bars but they inevitably end up crumbling into tiny pieces after a few uses. But I’m fully onboard with this, water scarcity is going to play a huge role in waterless beauty in the future.
Oh good to know! I've had pretty good experiences with Lush's other solid products, but I definitely find their overall range can be hit or miss. I find it's best to stick with brands that specialize in solid skincare, I suppose they work their formulas a bit better.
I tried a shampoo bar once but wasn't a fan as it made my hair too dry. I do use artisanal bar soap for my hands and body as much as possible. Some commercial bar soaps come wrapped in paper so I occasionally let them into my cart. I'll try the other tips you mentioned. The amount of plastic in everything drives me bonkers. There is a French cosmetic brand that lets you buy refill bottles of their shampoo and body washes which has worked for me too.
It did take me a while to find good shampoo bars. I've tried a few that left a weird film on my hair, but now I've found a few brands I really love. I think the key is to use brands that specialize in shampoo bars rather than skincare or beauty brands that have them as an add on product. I have a refillery store in my city and I'm obsessed! I'll likely do another post on that later 😊
Effective natural deodorants, (mostly) plastic-free: I love Wild, or also AKT in the tube. I’m not sure how available the are in Canada, but these have pretty much taken the UK by storm - and for good reason, imo!

Looking forward to that post already. I'll keep the hunt on for the shampoo:)

Ooh thank you, I'll look them up!
